The 9th Grade Lit and Comp teachers at Harrison High School would like to welcome you to our classes and thank you for visiting our blog. We are already busy with exciting learning activities. This week, our students studied character traits and determined their character strengths. Using this new information, each student created a "Mini Me," as you see below. These Mini Mes represent character strengths, hobbies and interests, and aspirations. Students made connections with their classmates based on their #1 character strengths. This activity allowed students and teachers to get to know each other while also engaging in self-discovery. Our focus on character strengths also allowed students to consider their aspirations and determine goals for their future. We will use our discoveries throughout the semester as we study literary characters.
