It's time for Shakespeare! Our on-level 9th grade students are studying Romeo and Juilet, while our honors 9th grade students are studying The Tempest. Pictured below are some of Ms. Burgess' students. Ms. Burgess' classes began Romeo and Juliet by reading and analyzing the Prologue, then they learned and practiced Shakespearean insults. Insults were hurled and thumbs were bitten, all while students learned new vocabulary and were given insight into just how many words Shakespeare created!
Our 9th Grade Literature and Composition classes just completed our unit on nonfiction! Our final nonfiction assignment was to read an autobiography, biography, or memoir and write an analysis. Speaking of biographies, check out our 9th Lit teacher bios!
